NATIONAL NEWS - It is without a doubt that there are matric students who did not meet the requirements to pass the National Senior Certificate exams in 2018, judging by the lack of schools who did not achieve 100 per cent pass.
Well it is time for plan B.
The Second Chance Programme by the Department of Basic Education is here to give you the opportunity to do better and reach your dreams.
Visit the online registration website at www.education.gov.za and click on the Second Chance Programme link to follow the registration process.
According to the Second Chance Programme website, in order to register, you must have the following documents:
* A completed registration form
* A certified copy of your ID document or birth certificate or passport (foreign candidates)
* If you are a repeating candidate, you must attach a copy of your previous highest qualification
* If you have you entered and wrote any other grade 12 or equivalent examination before, you will need to supply the examination numbers for those exams.
The Matric Second Chance Programme provides support for students attempting to write the supplementary (or rewrite) exams in March as well as those seeking to attempt the part-time NSC examination in November.
Learners will be able to benefit from face-to-face tuition, digital assistance and online libraries.
Once you have read through all the requirements needed to tackle your matric exams in 2019 through the programme, you will be able to meet the requirements to obtain your matric certificate.
Rather late than never, begin your path to success.
The closing date for registration is 31 January.
