She told Parliament on Thursday that she would meet with leaders of the various political parties to address the concern expressed by the president at the end of his budget vote on the behaviour of some members.
Parliament’s presiding officers shared the same concern‚ she added.
Describing the atmosphere in Parliament as challenging at times‚ Mbete said people expected members of the house to make greater efforts to curb disorder and unruly behaviour.
“So I urge all members to reflect on how best to return the House to the convivial‚ co-operative atmosphere‚ I know all of us would prefer.”
