OUDTSHOORN NEWS - Firefighting teams from Oudtshoorn and Cape Nature, as well as farmers from the Matjiesrivier area, are currently fighting a fire which broke out on privately owned land and has spread to Cape Nature land.
According to Aurelia Mle, liaison officer for the municipality, teams from the SANDF as well as from Garden Route District Municipality are on their way to assist.
"Two fronts of the fire have been contained but one front is being spread by heavy winds. The immediate priority is to protect structures which are in the path of the fire."
