NATIONAL NEWS - Police nabbed two Paterson teenagers allegedly in possession of 400 mandrax tablets while they attempted to hitch a lift along the N10 near the usually quiet town.

Two Paterson police officers were patrolling the road when they saw the girls, aged 17 and 18, hiking.

“The girls looked very nervous,” police spokesman Captain Andre Beetge said.

“They searched them and allegedly found 400 mandrax tablets on them.“

The 18-year-old will appear in the Alexandria Magistrate’s Court for dealing.

There were procedures for the younger one, Beetge said
