Update
OUDTSHOORN NEWS - A statement issued by the Garden Route District municipality on 2 December at 19:45, indicated that the wildfre is extinguished.
Mopping-up operations were successful.
GRDM's night shift crew will monitor the area until 04:00 and return back to base. Roleplayers today included GRDM Fire Services and an SCFPA-coordinated Working-on-Fire crew.
The public is urged to report fire-related incidents to the Garden Route Emergency Centre at 044 805 5071.
