SOUTHERN CAPE NEWS - Three South Western Districts cricket players were included in the Cobras Franchise Academies team that will participate in the Cricket South Africa Franchise Academies Limited overs tournament.
This event will be hosted in Potchefstroom from 14 to 18 March.
The three players are Todd Walker, Jean du Plessis and Jaco Janse van Rensburg.
Both Walker and du Plessis already played first-class cricket but van Rensburg, who played for the SWD Schools team, emerged via the club system where he regularly excelled for George CC as a leg-spinner all-rounder.
The SWD Academy Coach, Gurshwin Rabie is one of the assistant coaches of the team.
