Kayden Chandler, a learner from Langenhoven Gimnasium, excelled in Power Systems and took second place.
This is an outstanding achievement and a testament to the hard work of the technical learners and teachers in the province. These skills are vital to the economy and to ensuring that learners are ready to move into further technical studies and employment after they matriculate.
Nathan Joseph, Senior Curriculum Planner for Mechanical and Electrical Technology and lead organiser of the provincial competition, added his congratulations: “Our passionate and dedicated team of Western Cape learners and teachers gave their all.
"Their work was of high quality and reflected true commitment. As we celebrate National Teachers Month, we highlight the passion and dedication of our teachers in the technical fields.
"They inspire their learners to achieve in national competitions and beyond, because behind every dream realised is a teacher who believed. Thank you for the support you give to our learners every day here in the Western Cape.”
