NATIONAL NEWS - There have been no further developments in the search for kidnapped five-year-old Amy Lee de Jager.

Police continue to search for the young girl after she was forcibly taken from her mother in Vanderbijlpark on Monday morning, according to police spokesperson Captain Kay Makhubele.

“We are calling on community members to come forward with any information that can help us find her,” Makhubele said.

“Police are continuing their search for her.”

A family member said no further news had been received on De Jager’s whereabouts.

“We don’t have any further information,” the family member said.

“The kidnappers have not contacted the family again after the initial call for the R2-million ransom demand [earlier this morning].”

“We don’t know where they got her father Wynand’s number.”

Gauteng residents were urged to be on the lookout for a white Toyota Fortuner containing four men who reportedly took De Jager from her Vanderbijlpark primary school.

The vehicle reportedly had no number plates.

De Jager was described as having brown eyes and brown hair.
