Krejcir was scheduled to be sentenced after being convicted of attempted murder and kidnapping last month but the matter has been postponed.
Twenty-two police officers lined the walls of the courtroom, most armed with semi-automatic weapons, some with helmets and riot protection and others in plain clothes.
The front row of the public gallery was occupied by intelligence officials and spooks reluctant to identify themselves.
Every precaution was taken today in light of revelations that officials had apparently scuppered an escape plot and discovered a firearm, knife and tasers in Krejcir’s prison cell.
