Spokeswoman Colonel Ronel Otto said police were tracing a 45-year-old man who allegedly fled from Makonde village in Thohoyandou after he allegedly killed his two-year-old daughter and her brother, aged six years old.
“It is alleged that the man and his 33-year-old wife were involved in an argument [on Wednesday evening] when she fled from the house. The man allegedly took a knopkierrie and assaulted his daughter and son so severely that they were declared dead on the scene, ” said Otto.
“He fled the scene and is being traced. His wife is safe with family members.”
