KLEIN KAROO NEWS - Interruptions of the water supply to Blomnek are currently being experienced.
The problems on the Klein Karoo Rural Water purification scheme (KKRWPS), together with the power outages, mean that supplementary water cannot be pumped from the scheme to Blomnek as is usually done to replenish the Huis River as a source.
Water tankers are currently being arranged to assist residents.
Residents of De Rust and Blomnek are being urged to use water extremely sparingly. Residents are also reminded that the strict level 5 water restrictions still apply to these areas and that offenders may be fined.
