PROPERTY NEWS - While we would all love to decorate our homes in bespoke furniture, and exquisite wallpaper, as well as the latest gadgets and gizmos, sadly our budgets won't always allow this.
So, which items are worth saving up for, and which home décor items can you get away with buying on a budget?

Tips on which décor items to save for
• Key items
When it comes to the interior of your home, there are a number of key furniture and décor items that would benefit you for a longer period when you opt for quality. Focus on investing in the products that are used the most, such as sofas, beds, rugs, dining room tables and seating.
For instance, it makes more financial sense to save up for a high quality sofa, rather than having a bargain couch reupholstered every few years.
• Consider your space
Do you have pets or young children roaming around in the living room? Then it is probably not the best idea to display expensive vases or rugs in this space. Budgeting for durable materials would be a good option in this case, since your home should be a comfortable and relaxed environment for the entire family.
• Personal preference
While deciding what items to spend more on, it also depends on what is important to you. Are you an art enthusiast who prefers beautiful artwork displayed in a room as a feature piece?
Or perhaps you love hosting and entertaining, in which case lovely table linen is something you would spend on. It all comes down to making your home your own - figure out what makes you happy and see it as an investment in your living space.
Which items could you get away with by shopping for bargains?
With certain décor items such as lighting, frames or planters, one could easily find affordable options without cheapening a space.
It also important to bear in mind that with secondary décor pieces - those that are used to complement key furniture items - creativity can make a big difference. Inexpensive items that are used correctly in a room can often make a surprising statement.

Use what you already have to make a visual impact:
Large fruit bowls can serve as a decoration in a kitchen, or stunning recipe books arranged in an underutilised corner could be a perfect fit. Other minor decorative products such as candles or diffusers can be used to renew the feel of a bathroom.
With so many interior design options and ideas that we are exposed to daily, it is easy to become overwhelmed with how to upgrade your home.
The key is to focus on the space you have. Every idea will not necessarily work in your home, so focus on ideas that would enhance your specific living environment.
