GARDEN ROUTE | KAROO NEWS - The South African Weather Service (Saws) has forecast partly cloudy and cool to warm conditions over the central and eastern parts of the country, with isolated showers and thundershowers by the afternoon.

The weather service has released its latest weather forecast for Thursday, 14 August.

Regional weather forecast:

Western Cape
Cloudy over the northern parts with fog patches in the morning, otherwise fine to partly cloudy and cold to cool. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate southerly to south-easterly but easterly along the south coast. The expected UVB sunburn index: Low

Eastern Cape (western half):
Cloudy with fog in places over interior in the morning, otherwise partly cloudy and cool. It will become cloudy with isolated showers and rain in places along the coast from the evening.
The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh easterly.

Eastern Cape (eastern half):
Cloudy with fog in places south of escarpment at first, otherwise partly cloudy and cool with isolated showers and thundershowers in the afternoon. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-easterly.
