“Vincent has really come through, he and Trevor Nyakane were brilliant coming off the bench against the World XV, the plan was always to recall them, did fitness last week to bring them back this week, so it will be a tough test for Vincent.
“It showed against Australia that Test match rugby is not Super Rugby, I’ve always said don’t look too much into Super Rugby because there’s always some weak areas where you can penetrate like the scrums, but when you face NZ you play against the best there is at the moment.
“Vincent did great in Super Rugby and also against the World XV but know he has to show he can also do it in Test rugby, playing against one of the top scrumming teams in the world but it’s not just that, you have to make your tackles and be clinical in the end, but he has showed what he can do.”
Meyer also shed some light over the substitions he made against Australia last weekend. “I have always said this Championship with all the injuries we have had, and that’s not an excuse is always a lose-lose situation, because three of those impact players came on as a result of injury.
