SWD Cricket season starts this weekend

OUDTSHOORN NEWS - The SWD Cricket club season for 2026/27 will kick off this weekend with the T20 knockout competition.

All affiliated clubs, together with the Garden Route Badgers U19s, are grouped into eight pools.

The pool stages will be contested from this weekend onwards and the respective pool winners will advance to the quarter finals on 24 October.

Pacaltsdorp United are the defending champions.

The fixtures for Saturday 3 October are:

Sussex vs Plett Pioneers (09:00), Melkhoutfontein vs Mayflower (12:10), Plett Pioneers vs Melkhoutfontein (15:20).
