A local Grade Six primary school teacher, who did not want to be named, told the City Times she has at least one child in a class of 30, who, every day, says they were unable to do homework due to load shedding.
She said pupils have pinned their homework shortcomings on load shedding since Eskom first implemented the schedules.
The maths teacher now tells her pupils to do their homework at break.
She said the class bursts into laughter when the excuse of load shedding is used for not having done homework.
