OUDTSHOORN NEWS - Oudtshoorn municipality wants to reassure the residents of Oudshoorn on the quality of the drinking water.
Technical Services is currently testing the water on a weekly basis to ensure that it is safe for consumption.
The water is still slightly turbid, however, it does not pose any direct danger to the residents. The dosage of chlorine has been adjusted to improve the disinfection of the water. Recent testing results indicated that there is no E.Coli present in the water.
The Mayor, Chad Louw, is once again urging residents to boil water before using it until the water quality returns to normal.
