OUDTSHOORN NEWS - The Oudtshoorn Municipality gives regular updates to keep residents informed about important issues during lockdown. 

Their latest statement is below.

Refuse removal is running smoothly, trucks are being decontaminated. All precautionary and safety measures regarding COVID19 are being adhere to

• Please be advised that the plans to decontaminate the taxi rank are in place. Decontamination to take place soon.  

• A number of arrests and operations relating to breaching of Lockdown regulations have been made in the past few days. There’s a drastic improvement on how the general citizen respond to lockdown regulations.  

• Assistance on law enforcement of Military Police from SANDF started on Tuesday, 31 March 2020.

• Regarding Social Relief, the Department of Social Development is facilitating that process, they are also part of the JOC

• Quarantine and isolation zones/venues have been identified in the Greater Oudtshoorn Municipal precincts, for those who cannot self-quarantine and self-isolate
