OUDTSHOORN NEWS - The Disaster Management Team is currently doing an inspection at all the low-water bridges in the Oudtshoorn areas.
According to Aurelia Mle, liaison officer for the municipality, no flood damage has been reported.
"The Grobbelaar River is overflowing, and more water is expected from the Cango Caves side. We want to urge the public to please avoid the low water bridges and to adhere to the warning boards on the roads."
The Oudtshoorn Courant also received information this morning that a taxi was given a fine of R1 500 when it got stuck on Rademeyer Road while trying to cross the low-water bridge.
