Hoewel 'n groot deel van die land erge skade weens die swaar reëns gehad het, het die Klein-Karoo relatief lig daarvan afgekom. Teen Woensdagoggend was Meiringspoort steeds vir verkeer gesluit terwyl opruimingswerk aan die gang was.
