ENTERTAINMENT NEWS - This year, you can go back to nature and have an authentic country-vibing experience at the Woodifields Music on the Map Experience to celebrate spring.
On Saturday 2 September the Woodifields Estate will offer the first of what they plan to become an annual event, a "best of local bands" festival and a celebration of local lekker tastes.
From quiche to curry, craft beer to hamburgers, milkshakes to merlot and 'sarmies' to sandwiches, there is sure to be something mouth-watering for every taste.
There's a whole posse of local foodie places that can't wait to introduce you to their lip-smacking products, including Hetta's Home Foods, Curry on Kaya, Biltong & Braai, Marshmallow Café and, if you crave a foaming head of locally brewed craft beer, The Beer Merchant and The Blind Pig.
And for those who prefer ground beans to fermented foam, the Coffee Café will provide the required caffeine high.
The Woodifields Music on the Map Experience was conceptualised around farm life - to take people out of the bustle (yes, even in George) and root them in the country-vibing lifestyle on the Woodifields Estate.
Over the past few months, old workers' houses have been given a face-lift to house the food and drink stalls tasked to (dis)still the appetites of one and all at the music experience.
Prepping and priming is on schedule and the flavours will start filling the air before doors open at 14:00 on 2 September.
