GARDEN ROUTE RUGBY NEWS - Hats off to the Mossel Bay Municipality rugby team, which trumped the Oudtshoorn Municipality team by two points after an excellent fightback in the first game of the 2019 SWD Municipal Rugby Challenge.
The final score of the match, played in Brandwag, was 28-26. The Mossel Bay Municipal Rugby Team is captained by Shario Rosenkrantz and all the players that participates in the 2019 SWD Municipal Rugby Challenge are all registered SWDRU club players selected from clubs in the greater Mossel Bay area.
Eight towns in the Garden Route area will compete to eventually be crowned the best municipal team.
Mossel Bay will compete against the teams of George, Oudtshoorn and Hessequa.
On 12 October Mossel Bay takes on Hessequa at the D'Almeida Stadium in Mossel Bay and on 2 November George tackles the Mossel Bay team on the Greenhaven Grounds in Great Brak River.
