GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - Four athletes of the Eden Modern Pentathlon Association returned from the UIPM Global Laser Run City Tour in Madeira Island, Portugal, with top achievements.
The laser run event took place on 31 October. It can be described as a consecutive run and shoot event, where the distance and laps vary per age group.
Out of the four athletes, three were placed first in their age categories: Wanru Haasbroek (boys u.11); Duné Haasbroek (girls u.13) and Johan Windt (Masters 60+); while Marilie Duvenage placed 4th in the girls u.17.
Awards ceremony and AGM
The Eden Modern Pentathlon Association's annual awards ceremony, together with the AGM, will be held on Saturday 19 November at 09:00, at the Nedbank Running Club Hall, Meent Street, George.
Everyone is welcome who would like to learn more about the different sport disciples that form part of the Eden Modern Pentathlon Association, including laser run, biathle, triathle and tetrathlon.
Also take note of the first Laser Run League that will take place on Sunday 20 November at 13:00, at Van Riebeek Stadium in Mossel Bay.
