GYMNASTICS NEWS - Kauthar Fortuin, a Grade 1 learner from Glenwood House School, took part in the Western Cape gymnastics championships in Saldanha on Friday 5 August. 

This major competition was only her third competition since starting gymnastics in January. 

In May she received a gold medal at the Eden District competition, obtaining her Eden colours and qualifying for the provincial championships. 

Kauthar made her hometown proud by bringing home gold and achieving half-Western Cape colours at the age of 7.
