SOUTHERN CAPE NEWS - Join SANParks Honorary Rangers on a 'Road Less Travelled' excursion to Wilderness. This is the third year visitors can explore the Park's routes guided by SANParks' Honorary Rangers, Wilderness Region.
“This year there are three options participants can select, all available for two days. Each route leads through the national park's unique dramatic landscape of indigenous forest, spectacular views and fynbos,” says Frances Feig, chairman of the Honorary Rangers.
The routes are expected to take participants along “roads less travelled” through Karatara Forest, Windmeulnek to Platbos and Goudveld Forest, enjoying the spectacular views of the Outeniqua Mountains along the way. All routes are on existing footprint.
The event is scheduled for 2 to 3 May from the SANParks Island Lake day visitors’ picnic area.
Previous events held during 2017 and 2018 were so popular that the event is fast becoming an annual feature on the Garden Route calendar.
