SOUTHERN CAPE NEWS - Southern Cape Nomads crowned three divisional champions during their July monthly game at Plettenberg Bay Golf Club on Sunday 26 July.
Leading the way in the A Division was Elmar Noppe, who claimed top honours with 33 points. Jaco Pieters matched that score to win the B Division, while Glen Boscombe produced the best performance of the day with an impressive 35 points to take the C Division title.
The monthly competition was played on a course that has only recently recovered from severe flood damage.
Southern Cape Nomads media liaison officer Gary de Klerk praised the efforts of the Plettenberg Bay Golf Club team.
"Despite the extensive flood damage suffered by the course, the club worked tirelessly to restore it to an excellent, playable condition. We extend our sincere thanks to the management and staff of the club for hosting the game and making the day such a success," said De Klerk.
He also thanked golf director Elroy Snyman for joining the Nomads during the event and acknowledged the contribution of the day's sponsor, Coastal Rigging and Christo Langenhoven, as well as the national sponsors for their ongoing backing.
"Without the continued support of partners like these, our monthly golf days would not be possible."
