FOOTBALL NEWS - Having racked up 300 appearances for Kaizer Chiefs, goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune believes he is still continuing to improve as he heads into his 30s.
Khune started his 300th game for Amakhosi in Saturday's 2-1 Nedbank Cup last 16 win over Stellenbosch FC at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.
He was first drafted into the Chiefs squad in 2004 as a backup to the likes of Rowen Fernandez and Emile Baron, following the departure of Brian Baloyi.
He waited patiently for his chance in the Amakhosi goal and made his debut against Jomo Cosmos in the second match of the 2007-08 season, on 25 August, 2007.
In the decade that has followed, Khune has been a near ever-present for Chiefs, a regular for Bafana Bafana, and has two league titles and numerous cup winners medals to his credit.
