OUDTSHOORN NEWS - A brilliant inning by Keenan Viera (186 from 237 balls; 22x4; 1x6) was the highlight in the last round of fixtures of the SWD Colts team in their 3-day fixture against the Western Province Colts in the CSA Colts competition at Newlands in Cape Town.
Viera was well supported by Mark Adrianatos 90 (221 balls; 13x4; 1x6), Anoxolo Kitshini 60 (132 balls 8x4) as SWD posted 413/6 in their first innings. Regan Rhode bagged 5/50 as Western Province was dismissed for 136 - a deficit of 274.
In their follow-on innings, Western Province reached 336/5 at stumps on the final day when the captains shook hands.
Western Province (243 all-out) took the honours in the one-day match with a 115 runs victory after SWD responded with 128 all out. Andrianatos (41) was the top SWD batsman.
