OUDTSHOORN NEWS - Garry Hampson, SWD Cricket's Coaching Education Manager, received a Sports Coaching Designation. 

He is one of nine affiliate coaches of Cricket South Africa (CSA) on whom the Sports Coaching Designations have been conferred by the South African Sports Confederation and National Olympic Committee (SASCOC).

The qualification was issued after candidates met die requirements of the National Coach Developer (NCD) of CSA based on the Recognition for Prior Learning assessment process which was successfully completed. Hampson also holds a Cricket SA Level IV coaching certificate – the highest obtainable coaching qualification.

“Coaching holds the key to our talent development pipeline,” commented CSA Chief Executive Thabang Moroe, “and it is very encouraging to see so many talented coaches coming through our system. We will take keen interest in their future progress.”
