OUDTSHOORN NEWS - The Momentum Proteas are preparing to embark on a new season that includes a bumper fixture list until the 2023 ICC Women's T20 World Cup in February 2023.
This offers a chance for fresh faces such as Six Gun Grill South Western Districts women players, Miceala Andrews and Jané Winster,to put their hands up for selection.
CSA also recently awarded high-performance contacts to both players.
For the Protea Women, the schedule includes three ODIs and three T20Is against Ireland from 3 to 17 June and a multi-format tour to England from 27 June to 25 July, which involves six white-ball contests, preceded by a hugely anticipated once-off Test.
The team will be readying itself for a maiden Commonwealth Games appearance in Birmingham in August this year, which will mark the first-ever inclusion of women's cricket in the event's history.
