EDEN DISTRICT SPORT NEWS - Approximately 23 athletes of Eden district competed two weeks ago at the SA Laserrun championships which was held in Pretoria.
Eden achieved 13 medals at the SA Laserrun and tetrathlon. Laser-run is currently the fastest-growing development sport and has also enjoyed a rapid growth in popularity and profile since its introduction in 2015.
The sport will also be incorporated for the first time into the Pentathlon World Championships which will take place in Budapest from 2 to 8 September.
Eight athletes of Eden-district qualified to participate at the Laser run World Championships in Budapest.

Johan Windt also grabbed a gold medal at the Tetrahlon SA championships that was held on the 3rd and 4th of May that also took place in Pretoria.
Tetrahlon is a combination of four disciplines that includes swimming, fencing, running and shooting.
