The hashtag appeared to have been started by Democratic Alliance leader Mmusi Maimane who tweeted at the end of a rant in reaction to Jacob Zuma’s surprise announcement on Wednesday: “In conclusion: it’s time that we fire Jacob Zuma. #ZumaMustFall”.
Nene was widely reported to have fallen foul of Zuma for his insistence on fiscal prudence‚ cutting corruption and reigning in government spending.
