GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - Southern Cape police spokesperson Sergeant Chris Spies has indicated that a case of reckless and negligent driving after yesterday's three-vehicle crash on the N2 outside Plett that involved a police vehicle.
"Plettenberg Bay police opened a reckless and negligent driving case following an accident involving three vehicles on the N2 highway near Keurbooms at about 10:30 on Thursday 5 January," said Spies.
Initial reports indicated that the SAPS bakkie collided with a stationary vehicle, however Spies' statement says both were travelling towards the Eastern Cape.
"Information available indicates a Ford Ranger (SAPS vehicle) and a Mitsubishi SUV were travelling in the direction of the tollgate when the vehicles collided with one hitting a Renault Koleos which was enroute to George," he said.
