The City Press reported yesterday that two of the Gupta brothers left South Africa after resigning from their Oakbay Investments company last week.
The United Democratic Movement (UDM) and the Democratic Alliance (DA) say this doesn't solve anything.
The Gupta family appears to have withdrawn from public life due to negative publicity about their proximity to President Jacob Zuma.
But UDM leader Bantu Holomisa says the brothers leaving is suspicious.
“What if the authorities in this country advised them to leave so that you squash that investigation completely?”
DA leader Mmusi Maimane says the Gupta influence is still apparent across government.
