NATIONAL NEWS - The search for the third occupant of a vehicle involved in a crash has yet to yield any positive results, as hippo-infested waters in the Crocodile River continue to hinder rescue operations.
With the help of drones, the Ehlanzeni Diving Unit captured footage of numerous hippos moving through the river.
“The search will continue tomorrow and we hope to find the missing man,” said Captain Pottie Potgieter of the unit.
According to police, the three students had attended a rugby match earlier in the day and were travelling from a local restaurant when their vehicle plunged into the Crocodile River.
The bodies of Vigo Godfrey (20) and a woman, who has since been identified as Tintswalo Khoza, were recovered yesterday, 7 June.
This is a developing story.
