MOSSEL BAY NEWS - One of the highlights of the Mossel Bay Soul Festival is the Café Gannet Festival of Wine, bringing products from farms all over the Western Cape to Mossel Bay.
Wine lovers will be spoiled for choice with the exciting line-up of wines that can be sampled and purchased over the course of the two-day event.
Participating farms are Arendsig, Diemersfontein, Doolhof, Fairview, Fledge & Co, Groote Post, Lozärn, MAN Wines, Môreson, Lievland, Ormonde and Weltevrede.
Gin enthusiasts also have Six Dogs Gins to look forward to and there will be craft beer from Wild Clover.
The format of the event will be relaxed - spanning the full interior and grounds of the Café Gannet Restaurant, the Blue Oyster Bar, adjacent garden and the Ochre Function Venue.
Food can be purchased from informal food stalls and items on offer will include ploughman's platters, sushi, gourmet burgers, artisan pizzas and much more.
There will be live entertainment during the event including the talented local artists Jaco and Guston, Janine Fourie, Shaza, Tanya Storm, Kallie Landman and Brighitte Deister.
There will also be a mirror photo booth for the taking of fun souvenirs photos with friends, stalls selling Mossel Bay novelties and even cheese platters made from recycled wine bottles.
Wines, gins and beers will be on sale at cellar door, distillery and brewery prices, offering the opportunity for plentiful purchases without the worry of not having space for your luggage on the way back home after a weekend in the winelands.
