Weather: Fire danger warning for Karoo

GARDEN ROUTE | KAROO NEWS - Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over Laingsburg and Beaufort-West Local Municipalities in the Western Cape, as well as Dr Beyers Naudé Local Municipality in the Eastern Cape.

Western Cape
Cloudy and cold with light rain over the extreme south-western parts, otherwise fine and cool, but warm in the extreme north-east. The wind along the coast will be light and variable in the west, otherwise fresh to strong north-westerly, but moderate along the south coast. The expected UVB sunburn index: Low

Western half of the Eastern Cape
Cloudy with fog in places in the morning, otherwise fine and cool, but warm in places.
The wind along the coast will be light northerly at first, otherwise light to moderate north-easterly, becoming fresh to strong easterly east of Algoa Bay in the afternoon.

It will become moderate to fresh south-westerly west of Cape St Francis in the evening, spreading east.

Eastern half of the Eastern Cape
Cloudy with fog in places in the morning, otherwise fine and cool. The wind along the coast will be light north-westerly at first, otherwise light to moderate north-easterly, reaching fresh to strong in the afternoon.
