OUDTSHOORN NEWS - The monthly lunch of Skål Garden Route was hosted by Turnberry Boutique Hotel on Wednesday.
Skål is a professional organisation of tourism leaders around the world, promoting global tourism and friendship.
It is the only international group uniting all branches of the travel and tourism industry. Its members, the industry's managers and executives, meet at local, national, regional and international levels to discuss and pursue topics of common interest.
During the lunch which was attended by 60 people, Bernhard and Gabi Obermair of Skål Salzburg in Austria donated R40 000 to be utilised in aid of the Knysna fires.
Niel Els, MD of Turnberry and present President of Skål South Africa, hosted the lunch. Els is also an international Skål councillor.
