OUDTSHOORN NEWS - The George, Beaufort West, and Bartolomeu Dias Museums jointly hosted the Regional Museum Speech Contest for high schools at the CP Nel Museum in Oudtshoorn on 29 August.
The contest sought top young orators from the Southern Cape and Karoo to represent their museums at the Provincial Contest on 24 October at the Montagu Museum.
Each participating museum was represented by its top five speakers, who delivered compelling and eloquent speeches. The adjudicators faced a formidable challenge in selecting the winners due to the exceptional quality of the presentations. After thorough deliberation, the panel selected the top three speakers, along with two reserves, to advance to the provincial competition.
