GARDEN ROUTE | KAROO NEWS - Travellers to and from George Airport have been doing some time travelling since Tuesday this week.
The flight information display system has left many a traveller bemused or confused as it says flights are only arriving or departing in 2067.
A good 45 years from now. And well, if we have jumped more than four decades into the future, and are still living on a planet with relatively clean air to breathe and food available in shops and online, it seems Putin did NOT drop the bomb.
Let’s hope the George flight display system is a sign of only good things to come, even if some IT workers are obviously taking the Workers’ Day holiday a trifle early.
And on top of the 45 year leap into time, we are, according to George Airport, already in August and have skipped most of winter altogether!
Fancourt’s German swallows might as well have stayed...
PS: On Wednesday 27 April 2022, or was it 6 August 2067?.... a George Airport official said: “It's a common IT glitch that we are aware of and working on it.” Ha, ha, ha!
Happy Workers’ day, 1 May 2067!
