GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - As of Tuesday 21 July, the Garden Route district has 1 797 active Covid-19 cases.
According to Nadia Ferreira, Western Cape Health Department district spokesperson, 89 Covid-19 related deaths have been recorded in the district.
A total of 4 067 Covid-19 cases have been reported in the district, of whom 2 270 have recovered.
According to Ferreira, there is a strong upward curve in infections.
George has the highest number of infections with 1 850 to date, of whom 1 124 have recovered. The town has 726 active cases.
