OUDTSHOORN NEWS - Firefighter teams from Oudtshoorn Municipality, Garden Route District Municipality, Working on Fire and CapeNature are hard at work on the fires at Oudemuragie and De Rust.
The fireline is spreading to the north and east flanks.
Farmlands on the southern and northern flanks are at risk, and the situation is being closely monitored.
There is a lot of smoke with a southerly wind.

Working on Fire has 21 ground teams, CapeNature 14 ground teams, two SWBG Skid units as well as two units from Oudtshoorn. Arial operations are in place and the tropping of 21 ground teams to commence. A suppression from the southwest flank is planned then easterly.
