GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - All 4x4 fanatics are invited to take part in 'The Life Challenge', a two-day adventure on the gravel roads from George to Steytlerville (overnight) through the Baviaans Pass, and back to George again.
This is the first time that the event is being held and it is presented by Life Community Services. It will take place on 7 and 8 November.
"It is a prime time to eat tasty food, build friendships with other men and enjoy different activities to test one’s manliness, and there is always a chance to win a prize or two," says David May, marketing and communications officer from Life Community Services.
Only 10 vehicles with 40 participants (four men per vehicle) will be allowed to enter. To enter, contact David May on 074 889 7956 or Sean Evans on 082 698 3204.
The entry does not include the vehicle or fuel. A trained mechanic and first-aider will be on the expedition.
The route will take participants from George through Uniondale, the Baviaans Pass and Patensie to Steytlerville where the teams will overnight. The return journey is through Willowmore, Klaarstroom and De Rust, back to George.
Proceeds from the event go to support the work done by Life.
