GEORGE NEWS & VIDEOS - Western Cape Minister of Transport and Public Works Daylin Mitchell is engaging with mayors of the Garden Route District this morning at the council chambers of the district municipality.
Mayors had the change to address serious road matters in their respective municipal areas.
The mayors of Knysna, Hessequa, George and the Garden Route were present at the chambers. Mitchell said the main reason for this engagement is to listen.
"Going forward site visits will follow. We will come back with feedback within the next two weeks and will address the concerns raised," said Mitchell.
He added that it is important to realise that there is a need to prioritise, especially in the current economic situation the country is experiencing.
He also stressed the importance of access to water for the building of roads.
