Members of the public are invited to join the ride.
The local ride will commence at Klein Karoo Toyota, at the corner of High Street and Langenhoven Road and will extend along the well known 40km Klein Foreman route.
Riders will be joined by Corné Bence, President of SWD Cycling, Corné Botha, Road Commissioner of SWD Cycling as well as Pedal Power Association's Steve Hayward. Pedal Power are the organisers of the Pick n Pay Argus Cycle Tour.
A ghost bike in memory of lives lost during cycling will also be erected along the route. The tour will also pass by the new safe cycling billboards erected in the region.
The three-week, three-stage tour takes place from 8 to 28 September from Johannesburg via Bloemfontein and Oudtshoorn before finishing in Cape Town. The purpose of the tour is to increase awareness of the Cyclists Stay Alive At 1,5m campaign.
