The FCJ is an independent, non-profit organisation that strives to promote and express the interests of community journalists employed on a permanent or freelance basis.
The FCJ seminar, proudly sponsored by Sanlam, is usually a one-day information session with an option of breakfast for members who decide to stay the night - this year Far Hills Country Hotel was the sponsored venue.
These seminars are fast becoming very popular; not only offering information about social media and responsible journalism as well as giving journalists an opportunity to have unvoiced questions answered by some of the country's most influential personalities in the media world, but they also allow members to network in a relaxed environment.
