OUDTSHOORN NEWS - Pictures Guest House in Oudtshoorn recently received the award of the Best Guest House in South Africa and the 21st best guest house in the world.
The ranking of the 25 best guest houses in the world was published on 23 January by the Daily Mail and TripAdvisor.
Pictures Guest House is the only guest house in South Africa to be in this world ranking. Pictures Guest House is therefore in the first position at the national level according to TripAdvisor.
In its article, the Daily Mail indicates that the ranking is based on: "an algorithm that analyzes the millions of reviews and opinions collected in a single year from TripAdvisor travellers worldwide."
The two owners, Stephen Bourdet and Fabian Forte, are very happy to share this great news that contributes to the reputation of Oudtshoorn and the Klein Karoo and they are particularly proud of their fantastic team who fully participates every day in the success of the luxury accommodation. They would also like to thank the entire community, the local authorities and their suppliers for their warm welcome, collaboration and kindness.
Stephen and Fabian are both from Geneva and settled in Oudtshoorn two years ago. With their previous work experience as respectively a marketing manager in the wine industry and a finance director of the biggest hospital in Switzerland, they are the perfect pair to run the prestigious Pictures Guest House. Stephen also has a diploma in hospitality.
Part of their success at Pictures Guest House is the fact that they speak five different languages and that they are completely involved in their work.
They also have a great sense of hospitality, a passion for good food and good wine. This contributed to the 9.9 out of 10 score they received on the famous booking platform of Booking.com
Stephen and Fabian are very proud and feel very fortunate to live in this wonderful town of Oudtshoorn.
