CALITZDORP NEWS - De Krans recently reaffirmed its position as a leading port producer. On 5 September De Krans featured as one of the big winners at this year's Cape Port Producers Association (CAPPA) Port & Wine Challenge.
The De Krans Cape Vintage Reserve 2017 and Cape Tawny Limited Release port-style wines were named as two of the Top 10 Cape Port Style winners, with the De Krans Cape Vintage Reserve Port 2007 one of two winners to be recognised in the Museum Class category.
The De Krans Tritonia Calitzdorp Blend 2017, Touriga Nacional 2017 and Tritonia White 2018 each secured a spot on the list for the Top 10 Cape Portuguese Wines.
This follows on the heels of the Cape Vintage Reserve 2017 announced as the Overall Fortified Wine of the Year, as well as scoring an impressive 96 points by revered UK authority Tim Atkin MW in his annual review of South African wines. Furthermore, the Touriga Nacional 2017 and Tritonia Calitzdorp Blend 2017 each scored 90+ points in the same report.
