BUSINESS NEWS AND VIDEO - Established by well-known leather maestro Helen Kotze in 1980, El Sole with its range of quality leather products has become a household name in George.

Most Georgians are familiar with the shop in Market Street in the CBD.

However, to create a more convenient shopping experience for their clients, Norman Siebert, who took over the business in 2017, has decided to move the shop to the Eden Meander Lifestyle Centre.

"Helen is still very much involved in the business as head coach and we continue to produce handbags, purses, wallets, belts and other leather products of a very high standard," says Norman. "The decision to move to new premises was not taken lightly, but now our customers can enjoy a safer shopping experience with ample and convenient parking."

The shopfront of the new El Sole has been designed to give customers a lovely sensory experience. Not only does the fragrance of the many leather hides entice you inside, you can also touch and feel them. Visually, you can also enjoy the display of a wide range of leather tools and components that demonstrates how each one works.

In the back of the shop you will find a well-equipped workshop that does a variety of shoe and leather repairs including dyeing and colour renovation. A pinning and fitting room is conveniently situated on the premises for those in need of clothing alterations. To top it all off, the management has exciting plans to offer a range of leather work classes for adults and children next year.
