BUSINESS NEWS - The development of a retirement complex at Adler's Nest, at Aalwyndal outside Mossel Bay, is in full swing.
Owner Hein Marx had to bring an application to the High Court in order to continue with the development. Fortunately, the construction of the retirement complex could go ahead.
Over the past seven years, Adler's Nest, within the unspoilt natural beauty of Aalwyndal, has maintained an excellent reputation as a facility that, in addition to frail care, provides excellent medical care 24 hours a day.
The new retirement section will consist of own title homes and share title apartments. There will also be a community centre that will have everything, including a shop and even a gym, where residents of the retirement complex can exercise.
In addition, the complex will be pet friendly. Charges will be settled per person and not per unit.
Marx says there will be 100 000 litres of water per day available to residents to wash vehicles and irrigate gardens, among other things. He notes: "We will process sewage underground ourselves and therefore ensure enough water."
In addition to all the other benefits for homeowners, the retirement home is unique because it has the most beautiful view of the mountains and the sea.
"Homes will be built of face brick so that the maintenance is as low as possible. Modern security will also be available to residents 24 hours a day and homeowners can spend their last years in a beautiful and affordable environment," Marx notes
"At Adler's Nest we offer a safety, peace and quiet. Our rules are not rigid, because we want the residents and any visitors to feel as at home as possible here," concludes Marx.
